Overbid Process

Monroe County Tax Claim Bureau overbids comprise of money paid at tax sales and are monies above and beyond what the taxes and fees were at the time of the sale. These overbids resulted from tax sales that occurred prior to January 1, 2013. The Tax Claim Bureau holds these overbids for three years, then disburse to the taxing authorities.

The distributee is the only party eligible to claim these funds. In order to claim these funds the distributee must provide a completed and notarized affidavit, which must be reviewed by our attorney.
