The Purchasing Department encourages vendors to visit and present quality goods and services whenever possible. The Purchasing Department requests vendors to make appointments. Making an appointment ensures that the Department has the proper amount of time allotted to the meeting.

Vendors should focus on products presented that were agreed upon while scheduling the meeting. At certain times of the year the purchasing staff may have "drop-in" hours. Please call the department prior to "dropping-in" to insure the staff has the time to accommodate a short visit.

At this time the County does not utilize on-line bidding. All bids are advertised in the local newspaper. The County does however maintain a vendor bid list. Interested vendors should mail their contact and commodity  list to the Commissioners' office. Vendors will be placed in the appropriate file.

As the need to bid arises the Commissioners' Office will advertise in the paper, the County’s website and mail a copy of the bid to vendors on the bid list. The Commissioners' Office reserves the right to remove any inactive vendors from the bid list.
