The Monroe County Senior Volunteer Program (MSVP) is designed for individuals aged 55 and older.  The program connects volunteers with their unique talents and experiences to exciting and meaningful volunteer opportunities at local non-profit organizations, schools, government offices, and other agencies in Monroe County.

Volunteers with the MSVP participate in a variety of activities, including visiting and calling individuals in need, assisting with grocery shopping, providing computer support, knitting, serving meals, and offering transportation services, among others.  Volunteers have the flexibility to choose their level of commitment, whether it's daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed, allowing them to accommodate their busy schedules.

The MSVP program is locally sponsored by the Monroe County Area Agency on Aging and supported by the Monroe County Commissioners; its mission is to enhance lives, strengthen communities, and promote civic engagement through service and volunteering.
