Support Services for Seniors

Mission: To promote the physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being of older adults by providing services that empower older adults to retain or maintain independence and self-care.

A community where all older adults can live independently, safely, and healthily.

Support Services for Seniors monthly meeting is held virtually on the second Wednesday at 10:00 am.

About Us

Support Services for Seniors was created in 2005.

We are a charitable organization with an IRS 501 (C) 3 designation. Our Board of Directors is comprised of seven volunteers.

We are working closely with the Monroe County Area Agency on Aging to:

•    Investigate and identify the long-range needs of older adults in the Pocono area.

•    Develop outreach activities to inform older adults of available services, benefits, and opportunities in the Pocono area.

•    Publish and fund the distribution of the "Senior Express Times," a monthly newsletter focused on aging issues.

•    Gather financial support to help achieve the organization's goals.
