Repository Tax Sale
IMPORTANT - All Repository Sales will be conducted through Bid4Assets and more information will be coming.
In order to establish a procedure to minimize the number of properties that the County holds because of delinquent tax claims, the list of Repository for Unsold Properties was created. Any property that remains unsold after the upset sale and the judicial tax sale will appear on this list. The minimum bid is $800.00 per parcel, plus filing fees. Interested parties must register with Bid4Assets, then register with Monroe County Tax Claim Bureau within the allotted time frame. Properties are conveyed free and clear of all tax and municipal claims, mortgages, liens and charges and estates of whatsoever kind, except ground rents separately taxes.
Registration is required for the Auction on 11/19/25. Registration will begin 10/20/25 and end 10/31/25 between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Online Auction will be Wednesday 11/19/25 at 10:00 am. NO Over the Counter bids will be accepted.
Registration with Monroe County Tax Claim Bureau MUST be in person, no emails, or faxes will be accepted in accordance with Act 33. Valid identification is also required.
If you are registering as an LLC, Corporation or Sole Proprietorship you must provide paperwork that you are a registered business in whichever State/Commonwealth you registered in. Along with your documents showing who the members/officers are,
A Nonrefundable preregistration fee of $25.00 is required at time of registration in the form of money order or cashier’s check.
When placing a bid on a Chestnuthill Township property, be sure to have your approval letter from the Township Supervisors submitted when you register with Monroe County Tax Claim Bureau.
