Judicial Tax Sale

All properties that have failed to receive a bid at the fall Upset Tax Sale will be exposed again at public auction at the Judicial Tax Sale. This sale is held in the spring of each year. The minimum starting bid is bureau costs. All properties are sold free and clear of all tax and municipal claims, mortgages, liens, charges and estates of whatsoever kind, except ground rents, separately taxed. The Monroe County Tax Claim Bureau offers these properties without any guarantee or warranty of any kind. No survey has been performed on any of the properties. You are strongly advised to seek advice and counsel of an attorney prior to bidding at any tax sale. 

Preregistration for the Judicial Sale is required.


The Rule Returnable hearing scheduled for April 6, 2020 at 1:30 pm has been continued to July 16, 2020 at 9:00 am in Courtroom No. 5.  The Rule Returnable hearing will be held in the Monroe County Courthouse.
